help rails web noob setup his nameservers -('_'-)

in email:

Domain: davidklam.com

In order for your domain to point to your account, you will need to update your nameservers to those listed above.

You can login via SSH right away using your IP address, or later using your domain (once its new nameservers have propagated around the net).

how do i do this...?

nsupdate?

Please contact the domain registrars of your domain with these nameserver details. Also access http://www.internic.com and the access the whois details of your domain. In this whois details you will get the domain registrars details.

Also on how to ssh, try the following command format given below from command console.

ssh <username>@<domain Ip> (you will be prompted for password , give your cpanel password). you will log in to your account.

Also, your domain registrar usually has a panel where you can update your domain's nameservers yourself.  This just tells the Internet's routers where to go find your domain's DNS zone file, which contains your A records and MX records and such.

Hi there - when you signup for web hosting with us you get an IP address (shared or dedicated).  You can then find domain hosting elsewhere (we don't yet do domain hosting) and point that domain to that IP address by setting your own custom A record, or you can point your domain's nameservers to those in your welcome email and that will work as well.
