Unable to view site

Hi all,

I don't know where to even begin in this. I got a VPS server from hostingrails.com and I'm having a very weird issue which I hope someone here can shed some light on it.

I did as was requested of me here (Change the A record to point at the IP) and it seems to all be working ok. The problem is that one of the team can't see the site either using the domain name or the IP address. I contacted his ISP and they said they can see it perfectly so don't know why he can't see it. Naturally he can't pick up any emails either as his computer can't see the IP. I changed the A record over a week ago and I've had people from all over the world look at this and all seems fine... except for him. I even got him to ping the IP address and it fails to find it. He's on PC and tried it on FF and IE.

I'm tearing my hair out here. Anyone have any ideas? All suggestions welcome and will be tried!

Thanks in advance.

The issue may be due to an IP block. You can get his global IP and check on the server whether it is blocked or not. If the problem still persists, you may contact the support team via ticket with relevant details.

Really basic question but... how do I get his global IP?

I'm pretty sure that no IPs are blocked in the server. At least through the VPS control panel.

Hi Ralph,

Since it not an IP block or a block at his ISP, it might his computer firewall that is causing the issue.

Could you please ask him to switch off his computer firewall as well as his anti virus softwares and try it again. Also you can just ask him to try it from a different computer.
