Thanks to the help of the support team here, the ryan and peep code movies as well as the rails forum.
I have seen from the log my sql searches aren't so efficient.
i think I can improve this by preloading child fields.
Can I expect a vast improvement with correctly written SQL statements, returning the data in a more friendly way, or can we be just as effective using the rails methods.
