PostgreSQL Version

Hi,

what is hostingrails policy on keeping track with PostgreSQL releases? I read somewhere that you can not move to 8.3 due to cpanel but what about minor updates to 8.2? I see that the latest 8.2 release from PostgreSQL is 8.2.9 but Pascal is running 8.2.5 (according the PhpPgAdmin). It looks like you are keeping track with MySQL releases, so do you have a policy for PostgreSQL?

Hi Martin,

Upgrading PostgreSQL manually would break it's interoperability with cPanel control panel and this could cause serious issues on this shared server. We'll need to wait until cPanel updates the version of postgreSQL on the server.
