email domain forwarding

Hey there,

if i want all email from info@domain.com to go to a different email and not be stored on the server, do i use an email domain forwarder instead of an email forwarder?

I set up a mail forwarder but did not see a way to delete the emails after forwarding.

Hello,

The query is a bit unclear.

Anyways if you want all the e-mails coming to 'info@domain.com' [where domain.com is the domain that you are hosting on the account] not to be stored on the server but to be forwarded to another external e-mail ID, then please create the e-mail forwarder for 'info@domain.com' pointing to the intended external e-mail ID using Cpanel.

Then ssh to your account and move the folder related with the e-mail ID 'info@domain.com' I.E   /home/username/mail/domain.com/info to /home/username/mail/domain.com/info.bak.

This should make the mail undeliverable on the server but the forwarder will work and the mails will be delivered to the external e-mail ID.
