Hi - I could see that the catch all and the email forwarders set under your domain are working fine. Please note that only rerouted mails will be forwarded to the default account. If an account exists by the name the mail will be forwarded to that account.
Also you can contact support to retrieve your cPanel password.

Hi - Only mails sent to non existing email accounts will be rerouted to catch all email accounts. The mails sent to an existing email account will not be forwarded to a catch all email account.

but the main existing email accounts were also set to forward to my catch all account - basically anything with the domain name is supposed to (and used to) get forwarded -- how do i reset the forwarding on the existing email accounts?

It seems to be an issue with the email forwarding. Instead of setting a catchall email account you can setup a forwarder for forwarding the mails to an email account.
