Hello

For somereason I can not access my website using www.insightoptions.com, but I can access the site using insightoptions.com. What is the difference in adding the www, and how do I get both www.insightoptions.com and insightoptions.com to work?

Hi,
I am able to access both www.insightoptions.com and insightoptions.com , with out any issues. Did you try clearing your browser cache ? What is the error message you receive ?

2007-07-01 01:56 PM

yes I did clear out all cache, in firefox i get the following error

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.insightoptions.com.

   *   Check the address for typing errors such as
         ww.example.com instead of
         www.example.com

   *   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
         connection.

   *   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

That's strange. Did you try with a different browser/computer ?

I would suggest you post a ticket to support desk with the following information

1. Your global IP. You can visit http://www.whatismyip.com to find out your gloabl IP.

2. Tracert result

On Windows you can do this by opening a command prompt and typing the following command

tracert www.your_domain_name

On linux you can run the following command from a shell.
traceroute www.your_domain_name

I'm having the same issue with some add-on domains.  The www. is giving me errors and can't access.  I posted a ticket...

Vhyers, do you still experience issues ? The DNS servers for your domain were experiencing issues  which is sorted now.

It's all set now.  Thank you so much for such a quick resolution!!

Help!
I've had reports of the same www. problem again today.   My client has complained that the site was inaccessible "a number of times" today.  What can I tell my client?  Can I assure them this is a one-time problem (that just happened to occur on the weekend they launched their site???!!!)  Thanks!

Hello,

Well, the site is loading fine currently now. I believe that this could be a temporary network issue.

yep, when the client emailed me I immediately checked the site and it was (is) fine.  The "temporary network issue" can be/is resolved?  Is this going to keep happening?  Thanks!

Well...currently I dont see any Dns or related issues persisting with the domain. And regarding the other query "Is this going to keep happening?" I am not sure..Let's wait and see

Can I say my client *really* isn't going to like that answer?  :( Is there anything that can be done to prevent it?  Is it a problem with the registrar?

To be honest there is no problem currently visible at the moment. There was a DNS issue sometime back on the server which was resolved at that point.

Hi,
I don't know if this is related, but my domain is getting a 'Server Not Found' error again.
My parked domain still works properly.  This has happened before as well (since this thread was started).
Thanks,
Jee

Life is too short for this ...
Both the links are working fine for me!.. Did you try accessing this from a different computer/Network ?

2007-07-24 12:34 PM

nope, I didn't try another network.  But now it is working fine.
Whatever you did, thanks!
Jee
