How to setup email account with SMTP authentication - for addon domain also

Hi,
How can I setup SMTP authentication? Wich are pop & smtp server? How can I manage accounts for addon domain? I need to update nameserver or can I leave on my domain registrar and add/update new dns entry?

in cpanel I have always addon.ext and addon.primary.ext, it's correct?

There's a guide or a tutorial about manageing mail account correctly?

The pop and smtp servers are : 'mail.<domain>.com' or 'mail.<addondomain.com> ( if it is correctly pointing to our Name servers)

For addon domain, first you have to register and ask the registrar to change its NameServers to the one that we have provided when you signed up.

You can create addon domains using "cpanel>>addon domain".

Please refer " http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cpanel/ " for both addon domain creation as well as for mail account management.

Regarding "addon.ext and addon.primary.ext", can you eloborate the issue?
