cnames with amazon s3 for nice urls?

Hi,
I am reading up on amazon s3 service and would like to have my assets on the amazon s3 service to have my sites url in the front.

does anyone know how to do this? It says to create a cname but do i just create a cname like assets.mysite.com from my domain provider? how does my rails app know that aassets belong to to my rails app?

Hello,

I have read the link you have provided. We can put wildcard Dns for your domain. After that you will have to work on your .htaccess file (make the rewrite rules from your end). Also note that we provide limited support on these issues. Also note that we cannot modify the standard vhost entries.

Hi Thanks Rahul for the response. i guess there is more work than i thought. i may just put hat on hold till i get more experienced or if I come across a nice easy to understand tutorial. i appreciate the reply/
