Can not start God, The server is not available (or you do not have permissions to access it)

I keep getting The server is not available (or you do not have permissions to access it)
when trying to start god on my server and my local server. Now this is the first time I have worked with this tool from
http://god.rubyforge.org/

So I am still a bit cutting teeth using both
god load config/config.god
sudo god load config/config.god

on either basic or advanced config files

Okay, could you please try loading the config file again. We have started the God on the server now. You can do it by executing the command

god load config/config.god

Hi - I tried the same command and got the following result. Please check it again

Huh, it works now, sweet! Now I just wish I knew how you got it to work on your server so I can test it locally.

Cause right now I dont know if it is doing anything other than makeing huge log files

You need to create a config file and start god. Only root (super user) user can run god as it requires privilege to write to /var/run/god. Once god is running users can load their configuration file.

Hmm so today I got it to run on the local computer sudo god (doy!)
But now I restarted the main server here and god no longer wants to run again. Will this be a common occurrence to have to ask each time  ?

So we've actually had mixed results with God on our shared servers - - we have it turned off for the moment and are recommending clients use cron for now until we find a more global solution.
